Holy Trinity Catholic High School is pleased to announce that Mr. Robert LeGros has accepted the position of Interim Principal, effective January 1, 2025. Mr. LeGros has a distinguished background in Catholic educational leadership, emphasizing the importance of building relationships and promoting the core values of Catholic education.
Mr. LeGros earned a B.S. in Economics from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA. While preparing for a career in teaching, he completed his education credits at Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans and St. Edward’s University in Austin. He began his teaching career in 1995 at St. Louis Catholic School in Austin. After relocating to New Orleans, he taught religious studies for grades 8 through 12 and served as the Director of Campus Ministry.
Returning to Austin in 2002, Mr. LeGros taught at St. Edward’s University, working with students aspiring to join the Congregation of Holy Cross as priests or brothers. He earned a Master’s Degree in Administration from the College of Business at the University of Notre Dame in 2002. In 2006, he moved to San Antonio to become the Director of Campus Ministry at Holy Cross High School. Seeking new challenges, Mr. LeGros returned to Austin and began teaching Pre-K 4 at the Cathedral School of St. Mary. Over the next five years, he taught 4th grade, and in 2013, he was appointed as principal. Following a transition to semi-retirement, Mr. LeGros served as Business Manager for the 2023-24 school year.
Mr. LeGros is honored and excited to join the Holy Trinity Catholic High School community. A search will commence for the next principal, with the goal of having someone in place for the 2025-2026 academic year.
