The Holy Trinity football team played an amazing game - they fought a seesaw battle against Fr. Worth THESA (pronounced Theeesa), with each team alternating for the lead. Each point was hard-earned. Unfortunately, the game timed out while the opposing team was in the lead, denying HT their Homecoming victory. Had there been a few extra minutes, the Celtics would've easily overcome the 6 point difference and sailed ahead to secure the lead.
Despite THESA barely taking the lead, the Celtics played hard and furious throughout the game and never once slowed their pace. At halftime, Coach Mike Hannon, the first football coach at Holy Trinity, who coached the first HT football team, presented Coach Shelton with a helmet from that very first team, signed all over by the boys on that first team. In addition, Coach Hannon presented one of the very first HT team jerseys to Coach Shelton, along with a scrapbook full of news and information about HT's first team. Thank you, Coach Hannon!!! What a great gift to mark Holy Trinity's 25th anniversary! Half time was also the presentation of HT's 2021 Homecoming Court and ultimately, the 2021 Homecoming King and Queen. Izzy Velasquez was voted HoCo Queen, and Nikelis Estrada was voted HoCo King. Congratulations to all our students who voted into this year's court, and especially congratulations to all those who were in the running for King and Queen! 2021 HoCo football game:
A sincere thanks to each of these amazing dads for sharing their stunning photos with the HT Community! |
