Holy Trinity receives $75,000 Grant Scanlan Foundation award to provide financial assistance
TEMPLE—Holy Trinity received a $75,000 grant from the Houston-based Scanlan Foundation earlier this month. The grant is to be used for tuition assistance.
“This gift is huge for us,” Principal Chris Mosmeyer said. “It will enable us to continue to meet the financial needs for students in the future.”
Holy Trinity awarded more than $140,000 in financial assistance in 2010-2011 and has awarded more than $150,000 in 2011-2012 so far. Applications for admission and financial aid are still being accepted. More than 40 percent of Holy Trinity’s students receive financial assistance to attend school.
Tuition and fees at Holy Trinity total $8,860 for new students for the 2011-2012. However, the average award for students in need is nearly $5,000.
“We’re happy to say that we do everything we can to meet the financial needs of our students,” Mr. Mosmeyer said. “We have some students who receive a significant amount of aid to attend school. If a student is right for Holy Trinity and desires a Catholic education, we can make that happen.
“This grant from the Scanlan Foundation is a true blessing. Every student at Holy Trinity benefits from the contributions they have made to us.”
