We are excited for the future of Holy Trinity under her leadership and look forward to the continued growth of our school community.
My name is Jacqueline Wright, and I am honored to serve as the new Principal of Holy Trinity Catholic High School. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, a master’s degree in Psychology, and a Certificate in Catholic School Management from Villanova University. I began my teaching career in New Mexico, where I taught theater, English, and AP Literature at the high school level. After relocating to Temple, Texas, I taught middle school English Language Arts and Yearbook at Holy Family Catholic School in Austin. I continued teaching ELA and Yearbook at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Temple, where I also taught Physics and co-taught in the school’s theater program. I later served as Assistant Principal and Development Director at St. Mary’s.My husband and I are blessed with seven children, all of whom attend Catholic schools here in Temple. I have a deep passion for Catholic education because it restored my faith in the power and purpose of teaching. It is a tremendous blessing to be able to place my Catholic faith at the center of all I do as an educator and leader. I am excited to bring that passion and experience to Holy Trinity and to serve this vibrant and faithful community.
The composition of the governing board of the school will change. The new governing board will include diocesan officials such as the Superintended of Catholic Schools and the diocesan Chief Financial Officer, as well as local leadership and local clergy. Additionally, the diocese will assist in securing proper support for leadership, financial oversight, enrollment initiatives, and alignment with diocesan policies and mission.
The decision is a strategic, mission-driven step to ensure the long-term sustainability, growth, and Catholic identity of the school. This change should strengthen the school's connection to the broader Church and provide additional resources for the school to achieve this goal.
Tuition will continue to be evaluated annually. The school will still offer tuition assistance through various sources, including development activities, diocesan support, and other scholarships.
Your prayers, continued enrollment, financial support, and advocacy are vital. You can also help by sharing the good news of this transition and encouraging others to be part of Holy Trinity’s future.
