Theatre I - Fundamentals of Acting Prerequisites:None
9th-12th Grades 1 semester, 1 credit
In this course students learn basic acting skills. Through the study of 20th Century plays and the presentation of scenes and monologues, students will develop the ability to translate the printed word into a dramatic presentation. This course emphasizes script analysis, vocal and physical preparation, and the creation of a character.
Theatre II - Intermediate Acting
Prerequisites:None 9th-12th Grades 1 semester, 1 credit
Students will build upon their experiences from Theatre I. Students will prepare scenes and monologues with a special focus on the actor’s instrument. Voice and movement techniques will be incorporated into the preparation process.
Theatre/Musical Theatre (not scheduled in current rotation)

9th-12th Grades 1 semester, 1/2 credit
The objective of this course is to further the individual talents of the theatre student. Instructional units will include classical styles, children’s theatre, play writing, stylized stage make-up and theatre career awareness.
Choir
Prerequisites: None
9th–12th Grades 2 semesters, 1 credit
Students who enter the choral music program will be singing a wide variety of choral music and will be considered vocal ambassadors for Holy Trinity. This will be a performance-based choir who will respond to invitations to sing in public venues, as well as present three concerts per year (a fall concert, a Christmas concert, and a spring concert). There will be opportunities for solo and small ensemble work. Students will participate in TAPPS Vocal Competition in the spring. Students will learn to read music and the basics of sight singing and ear training. Bella Sona is the female chorus of the music department. It is open to all girls from 9 to 12th grade. The St. Jerome's Men's Choir is the male chorus of the music department.
Art I
Prerequisites:
None, Limit 12 students per section
9th – 12th Grades 2 semesters, 1 credit
Students will be transported to the Temple Cultural Activities Center (CAC) where they will explore a variety of art forms including drawing, painting, pottery and sculpture.
Art II
Prerequisites: Teacher recommendation
2 semesters 1 credit
Students will expand on skills gained in Art I through additional experience in the study of student-selected media, artists, art history periods, and subject matter. Students should prepare for written, as well as oral critiques for self-assessment. An introductory session of what should be included in a portfolio and how to prepare it will be required.
Art III
Prerequisites: Teacher recommendation
2 semesters 1 credit
Students will expand on skills gained in Art I and II through additional experience in the study of student-selected media, artists, art history periods, and subject matter. Students may choose to concentrate their art experiences in the area of drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, or glass. An introductory session of what should be included in a portfolio and how to prepare it will be required.
AP Art History
Prerequisites: World History and AP US History or concurrent enrollment
11th-12th Grades 2 semesters, 1 credit
AP Art History is a chronological art survey course that focuses on traditional Western art. The objective of the course is to encourage the student to analyze works of art and to develop a vocabulary that will allow them to be able to discuss what they see in the context of the artistic period, style, and the individual artists. This course also requires the student to become familiar with Microsoft Power Point.
