Holy Trinity Catholic High School has a vibrant and active community prayer life. Each school day the students, faculty, and staff pause to pray and meditate on the person of Jesus Christ and God’s saving plan for the world. We acknowledge our utter dependence on Him and ask his blessings on our school, our families, our friends and our benefactors. Beyond the prayer service, our classes all begin with prayer and many end with prayer.
Prayer Service begins at 9:41 a.m. and Mass begins at 9:37 am. Adoration begins on Friday at 9:00 a.m. Prayer services are 20 minutes and Mass is 45 minutes.
Weekly Schedule:
Monday | Liturgy of the Word with Faculty Sharing on the Word |
The Cross and Candles are processed in, the readings of the day are proclaimed, and a faculty or staff member gives a short reflection on the readings.
Tuesday | Praise and Worship |
Students lead the school in several praise and worship songs and the community has an opportunity to offer personal intentions and petitions.
Wednesday | Holy Mass |
Each week Priests from the Deanery come and preside at our weekly Masses. Once a quarter, the school travels to St. Mary’s Church to celebrate Mass with St. Mary’s School. The Mass is the most sacred part of the week. Students are actively engaged in the Mass and serve in various capacities including Altar Servers, Readers, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Sacristans, and Music Leaders.
Thursday | Divine Mercy Chaplet and Rosary on alternating weeks |
Students lead a sung Divine Mercy Chaplet or a community Rosary on alternating weeks.
Friday | Adoration or Stations of the Cross (during Lent) |
The school has the unique opportunity to adore our Lord in the Eucharist on Friday of every week. Adoration consists of the traditional Latin chants as well as time for silent prayer. On Fridays during Lent, the school community prays together as they process through the hallway meditating on the Stations of the Cross that are hung there. |
Parents and families are invited to join the school for our prayer services and Mass.
